Royal Caribbean International is searching for Riggers ready for an exciting life at sea.  Imagine spending your morning maintaining equipment, afternoon rehearsing our flying shows, and the evening being a part of the production.  Work in the most state of the art theaters and become one of our team of experts.

In addition to other requirements, potential candidates should have minimum three years professional theater set-up experiences or equivalent including carpentry, electrician, conventional and moving light operation, and basic lighting maintenance, basic sound engineering and knowledge of pyrotechnics (preferred). 

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Sets up and operates all aspects of theatrical rigging systems including motors, lines, hoists, tracks, drives, lifts and programming of PC/PLC based automated systems . Conducts ongoing maintenance of all related systems. Troubleshoots and repairs systems. Keeps accurate and current maintenance logs for all repairs and maintenance for all systems. Conducts weekly inspections of all rigging systems with special attention paid to safety systems and features.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Minimum three years Professional Theater set-up experiences or equivalent including carpentry, electrician, conventional and moving light operation, and basic lighting maintenance, basic sound engineering and knowledge of pyrotechnics preferred. Working knowledge of theatrical rigging, maintenance and inspections including: hemp or counterweight rigging, automated systems, winch/motorized rigging, ground rigging, high steel, and rock climbing are preferred. Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated and manual rigging systems. Basic programming knowledge of PC/PLC based systems. Working knowledge of Windows NT, Word, and Excel. Familiar with current PC and PLC stage technologies and rigging operations. Must possess adequate inventory of personal rigging/climbing gear such as harness, assorted sizes of slings, and carabiners. Personal supply of basic hand tools, static rope, or dynamic rope is to your advantage. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently searching for Rigging Specialists to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Rigging Specialists assignments based on their successful performance.

We are currently searching for Refrigeration Engineers to join our team!  Reports to the Chief Refrigeration Engineer for operation, maintenance and repair of the ventilation, provision, ice skating arena equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning.  More than 40,000 people have chosen Royal Caribbean International as their employer and so should you!

Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice skating arena equipment (where applicable) and all air conditioning equipment is kept in full and proper working condition. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties Delegation and distribution of work for his subordinates as directed by the Chief Refrigeration Engineer. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the coordination and control of the refrigeration accounts  Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor

We are currently searching for Light Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Light Technician assignments based on their successful performance.

 

Royal Caribbean International currently requires Light Technician. This position is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the lighting, show control and fog/haze systems in certain entertainment venues aboard the ship for a variety of events and activities.

In addition to other requirements, potential candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Responsible for programming, operating and maintaining all aspects of the show lighting, show control and haze/low fog systems in various entertainment venues for rehearsals, shows, special events and other activities. Meet with guest entertainers and certain groups to find out what their lighting-related requirements may be for upcoming rehearsals, shows or activities. Assist with and oversee the set up, positioning and strike of effects lighting and related equipment for certain events or activities in different venues aboard the ship. Responsible to see that all lighting, show control, haze/fog and related equipment is properly maintained and kept in good working order. 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures. Should be proficient in the operation of lighting control consoles and programs such as those from ETC, Wholehog II, III and Wholehog PC from Flying Pig Systems, and Martin Lightjockey. Working knowledge of, and have the ability to do basic troubleshooting and maintenance on several types of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures, DMX controlled scrollers, ETC Sensor dimming systems, follow spotlights and haze and low fog systems, as well as the lighting control consoles and programs. Education from a technical school preferred. Must have completed high school or basic education equivalency. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests. All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently searching for Hotel Directors to join our team! Be an instrumental part of the Royal Advantage when you lead and develop a team of hundreds of international hospitality professionals onboard our incredible ships.  This position offers four month onboard contracts, followed by two months of vacation.  Potential candidates must have ten or more years of proven senior management experience in a four or five star hotel, resort or cruise line.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  

Plans, coordinates and controls the operation of the Hotel organization.  Directs the function of all Hotel personnel through the management of department heads.  Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality guest services and amenities within corporate standard. Establishes and maintains effective internal communications including regular department head meetings to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity. Implements the business and operating budget plans to ensure an on-going basis optimum total guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability. Ensures the security and safety of guests and shipboard employees through established emergency procedures. Establishes and maintains a prominent level of visibility and involvement throughout the vessel and in business, social and governmental communities as appropriate. Continually encourages teamwork and cooperation between all Hotel shipboard employees and Marine shipboard employees. Monitors cash management programs and purchasing practices including inventories and receivables. Conducts regular inspections to ensure facilities are kept in optimal condition by full implementation of preventive maintenance programs and judicious planning and management. Maintains a high-level of communication with shoreside managers involving various auditing and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  

·        Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university, or the international equivalent preferred

Ten or more years progressive management experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel with at least five years operational experience in food and beverage, front office and/or housekeeping  Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Ability to manage the international staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work. Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly. Ability to communicate in additional languages is preferred. Must be able to accommodate a 4 months on / 2 months off contract schedule. All shipboard employees must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the participation in life-saving procedures and drills. All applicants must have the ability to obtain required visas.

Royal Caribbean International currently requires Guest Service Officers. The Guest Services Officer will be responsible for 'Delivering the Wow' while demonstrating exemplary problem resolution skills to our guests at all times.

In addition to other requirements, candidates should have minimum one-year experience in a customer contact position within the hospitality industry and should also have at least one-year cash handling experience with good understanding of US currency and exchange rates. Further, candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills and must have attributes to deliver outstanding hospitality focused customer service and effective decision-making. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Always 'Looking the Part' the Guest Services Officer plays a key role in being the first impression for the brand and our guests for guests. Greets all guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Uses a positive and clear speaking voice, taking the time to understand all requests in detail. Responsible for being a determined and focused performer in a team of empowered Guest Services professionals who will strive to deliver focused and extraordinary customer service. Provides cash and guest account services at the Guest Services desk such as accepting cash payments, cashing personal or Traveler's checks or exchanging foreign currencies.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Minimum one-year experience in a customer contact position within the hotel, cruise, or related industry. Minimum one-year cash handling experience, and an understanding of US currency and exchange rates required. Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guests in a considerate, Professional and positive manner by showing concern and listening actively. Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers and copy machines. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests. Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese preferred. All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently seeking Guest Services Manager to join our team.  Potential candidates must have at least two years in a successful progressive, related leadership position in a four or five star resort, hotel or cruise line.  More than 40,000 people have already selected Royal Caribbean International to be their employer and so should you!


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·         Continually develop original and fresh techniques to enhance the guest service onboard

·         Use guest feedback and ratings to establish a positive culture throughout the guest services team

·         Enforce organizational policies and procedures of monetary items regarding the Front Desk

·         Develop and promote success of the management and supervisory teams onboard

·         Enforce the delivery of standards, efficiencies, services and quality within the guest services department onboard

·         Perform related duties as required


Qualifications

 


Minimum Requirements:

Completion of high school, basic or vocational education equivalency preferred

 

Two or more years of Front-of-House successful and progressive leadership experience in a four or five star hotel, cruise line or other hospitality related industry

 

Proven ability to achieve operational results in an international environment

 

Demonstrated experience in motivating, leading and engaging a diverse workforce to increase synergy and improve productivity

 

Competency with Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes

 

Oral and written fluency in English at an advanced level

 

Must be physically able to participate in emergency life saving drills and required training Strong communication skills in additional languages are desired All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D visa
