We are currently searching for Light Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Light Technician assignments based on their successful performance.

 

Royal Caribbean International currently requires Light Technician. This position is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the lighting, show control and fog/haze systems in certain entertainment venues aboard the ship for a variety of events and activities.

In addition to other requirements, potential candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Responsible for programming, operating and maintaining all aspects of the show lighting, show control and haze/low fog systems in various entertainment venues for rehearsals, shows, special events and other activities. Meet with guest entertainers and certain groups to find out what their lighting-related requirements may be for upcoming rehearsals, shows or activities. Assist with and oversee the set up, positioning and strike of effects lighting and related equipment for certain events or activities in different venues aboard the ship. Responsible to see that all lighting, show control, haze/fog and related equipment is properly maintained and kept in good working order. 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures. Should be proficient in the operation of lighting control consoles and programs such as those from ETC, Wholehog II, III and Wholehog PC from Flying Pig Systems, and Martin Lightjockey. Working knowledge of, and have the ability to do basic troubleshooting and maintenance on several types of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures, DMX controlled scrollers, ETC Sensor dimming systems, follow spotlights and haze and low fog systems, as well as the lighting control consoles and programs. Education from a technical school preferred. Must have completed high school or basic education equivalency. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests. All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently searching for Broadcast Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Broadcast Technician assignments based on their successful performance.

 

We are looking for experienced Broadcast Techs with a minimum of 3 years television broadcast or production experience in producing, directing, shooting and editing. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Reads television-programming log to ascertain program to be recorded or program to be aired on RCTV closed circuit television.  Ensures all graphics reflect the current marketing strategy and Gold Anchor Standards.

 

Selects pre-approved source, such as movies, satellite or local television stations, from which program will be recorded or transmitted, and selects videotaping equipment on which program will be recorded.

 

Observes quality control monitor to verify that station is on-air.  Monitors television system to ensure all channels are operating appropriately within specifications and correct programming is being televised.

 

Maintains equipment and ensures proper function.  Cleans videotape path to remove contaminants that would affect quality of recording or playback of videotaping equipment.

 

Observes scales in video and color monitors and operates controls to adjust video and color levels.  Assures video and audio levels are within appropriate range as to not cause distortion over television system.

 

Wires audio and video patch bays (socketed equipment that allows for transfer of audio and video signals between different pieces of equipment, via cables).

 

Maintains inventory and maintenance of all video equipment in the Cruise Director Division, including broadcast room, theatre, cinema and conference room.

 

Performs related duties as required.  This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the shipboard employee occupying this position.  Shipboard employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

Qualifications

 

Hiring Requirements:

 

Minimum of 3 years television broadcast or television production experience required. Bachelors or Associates degree in broadcasting, technical field preferred. Ability to edit on both linear and non-linear production systems in multiple formats such as Beta SP, Beta SX, SVHS, MPEG, etc required. Knowledge of broadcast, video productions and technical television operation production.  This includes producing, directing, shooting and editing of feature length, short formats, commercial and documentary style programming. Knowledge of basic computer operations in the areas of live TV directing, call and switch live multiple camera programs, TV programming, scheduling and traffic. Knowledge of satellite uplink and downlink procedures, as well as signal tracking while at sea preferred. Ability to operate Macintosh and Windows computer platforms and familiar with  AVID required and a variety of Adobe products such a PhotoShop, After Affects, Illustrator, Premier preferred. All shipboard employees must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the participation in life-saving procedures and drills Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable

We are currently looking for a Slot Technician to join our team.  This position is responsible for

installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing coin-operated slot machines, currency changers, video arcade games and currency and coin-handling equipment located in the shipboard Casino by performing the following duties and responsibilities.  The position is also responsible for maintaining and repairing signage and the computerized gym equipment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·         Adjust slot machines, video games, coin-handling, card shuffling and all other machines and equipment following manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools

·         Fills machines with coins and tests electrical and coin-handling systems.

·         Examines defective machines to determine causes of malfunctions. 

·         Collects coins and currency from change machines and makes settlements with cashier cage to balance assets and cash retrieved from the machines.

·         Prepares written authorization for jackpot payouts and presents to Cashier and/or Casino Management based on established Casino Operations policies.

·         Conducts daily inspections of the Arcade Machines and equipment.

·         Maintains a constant presence throughout the Casino.  Walks around the Casino to assist guests and provide general information.  Extends courtesy and helpful gaming information to guests. 

·         Supervises staff to ensure speed and accuracy of cashiering services in accordance with the Celebrity Connections standards.  Under time constraints or staff shortages, assists employees or performs cashiering duties.

·         Maintains an awareness of the guests to provide security problems.  Observes players and machine operation for improper use or possible security problems.  Notifies management and/or security of suspicious behavior.

·         Participates in the programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays including Roulette displays.

·         Completes paperwork and/or reports on a per voyage, monthly and/or quarterly basis.

Knowledge of broadcast, video productions and technical television operation production.  This includes producing, directing, shooting and editing of feature length, short formats, commercial and documentary style programming. Knowledge of basic computer operations in the areas of live TV directing, call and switch live multiple camera programs, TV programming, scheduling and traffic. Knowledge of satellite uplink and downlink procedures, as well as signal tracking while at sea preferred. Ability to operate Macintosh and Windows computer platforms and familiar with  AVID required and a variety of Adobe products such a PhotoShop, After Affects, Illustrator, Premier preferred. All shipboard employees must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the participation in life-saving procedures and drills Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable

We are currently searching for Sound Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Sound Technicians assignments based on their successful performance. 

 

Royal Caribbean International is searching for Sound Technicians ready for an exciting life at sea. Imagine spending your day rehearsing and designing programming with entertainers or production groups and your evenings executing the most professional entertainment at sea. In addition to other requirements, potential candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience and a solid background in live sound reinforcement (Experience in musical theater is preferred).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Operating and maintaining all aspects of the sound system(s) in various entertainment venues for rehearsals, shows, special events and other activities. Assist with and oversee the set up, positioning and strike of microphones, audio snakes and cables, headphone amplifiers, stage monitors and other equipment for all applicable rehearsals, performances, events and activities along with its care and storage. Meet with guest entertainers and certain groups to find out what their audio-related requirements may be for upcoming rehearsals, shows or activities. Routine & preventive maintenance of all related systems / equipments. 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Have a minimum of two years' experience and a solid background in live sound reinforcement. Experience in musical theater is preferred. Be proficient in the operation of analog sound consoles such as those manufactured by Yamaha, Crest, and Mackie, analog gear such as compressors, limiters, noise gates, graphic and parametric equalizers, and effects processors such as those manufactured by Lexicon, T.C. Electronics, Eventide, and Yamaha. Be proficient in programming and operation of digital mixers such as those from Yamaha, and have some knowledge of digital consoles such as those from Euphonix and DiGiCo. Must be able to do basic troubleshooting and basic, routine maintenance on many types of audio gear including amplifiers, consoles, outboard audio gear, and be able to detect and replace blown speaker drivers. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently searching for Slot Technicians to join our team!  This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Slot Technicians assignments based on their successful performance.

Join our team as a Slot Technician and work with state-of-the-art equipment in our casinos, game rooms and gym while visiting exotic destinations and meeting new people!

Potential candidates should have formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or electronic equipment. Previous slot technician work experience in live casinos preferred.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Adjusts slot machines, video games, coin-handling, card shuffling and all other machines and equipment following manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools. Conducts general maintenance and/or service on all machines and equipment. Prepares requisitions for parts, tools, equipment, etc. And forwards to Casino management for approval Fills machines with coins and test electrical and coin-handling systems. Examines defective machines to determine causes of malfunctions. Adjusts and repairs machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts, using hand tools, such and screwdrivers and pliers

Qualifications

 

Minimum hiring requirements:

Formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or electronic equipment Proven ability to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment and methods and procedures in mechanical drawings Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guest in a considerate, professional and positive manner by showing concern and listening actively Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads and shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions Ability to stand for an extended period of time Ability to count paper and coin currency quickly and accurately Ability to perform basic math functions with regard to monetary units and compute slot machine percentages Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training

Royal Caribbean International currently requires Light Technician. This position is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the lighting, show control and fog/haze systems in certain entertainment venues aboard the ship for a variety of events and activities.

In addition to other requirements, potential candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Responsible for programming, operating and maintaining all aspects of the show lighting, show control and haze/low fog systems in various entertainment venues for rehearsals, shows, special events and other activities. Meet with guest entertainers and certain groups to find out what their lighting-related requirements may be for upcoming rehearsals, shows or activities. Assist with and oversee the set up, positioning and strike of effects lighting and related equipment for certain events or activities in different venues aboard the ship. Responsible to see that all lighting, show control, haze/fog and related equipment is properly maintained and kept in good working order. 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Should have a minimum of 2 years' experience with hands-on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as doing regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures. Should be proficient in the operation of lighting control consoles and programs such as those from ETC, Wholehog II, III and Wholehog PC from Flying Pig Systems, and Martin Lightjockey. Working knowledge of, and have the ability to do basic troubleshooting and maintenance on several types of conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures, DMX controlled scrollers, ETC Sensor dimming systems, follow spotlights and haze and low fog systems, as well as the lighting control consoles and programs. Education from a technical school preferred. Must have completed high school or basic education equivalency. Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests. All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D1 visa  (and other relevant visas) when applicable Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

We are currently searching for Broadcast Technicians to join our team! This position has a six month onboard contract. Successful candidates will be considered for regular Broadcast Technician assignments based on their successful performance.

 

We are looking for experienced Broadcast Techs with a minimum of 3 years television broadcast or production experience in producing, directing, shooting and editing. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Reads television-programming log to ascertain program to be recorded or program to be aired on RCTV closed circuit television.  Ensures all graphics reflect the current marketing strategy and Gold Anchor Standards.

 

Selects pre-approved source, such as movies, satellite or local television stations, from which program will be recorded or transmitted, and selects videotaping equipment on which program will be recorded.

 

Observes quality control monitor to verify that station is on-air.  Monitors television system to ensure all channels are operating appropriately within specifications and correct programming is being televised.

 

Maintains equipment and ensures proper function.  Cleans videotape path to remove contaminants that would affect quality of recording or playback of videotaping equipment.

 

Observes scales in video and color monitors and operates controls to adjust video and color levels.  Assures video and audio levels are within appropriate range as to not cause distortion over television system.

 

Wires audio and video patch bays (socketed equipment that allows for transfer of audio and video signals between different pieces of equipment, via cables).

 

Maintains inventory and maintenance of all video equipment in the Cruise Director Division, including broadcast room, theatre, cinema and conference room.

 

Performs related duties as required.  This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the shipboard employee occupying this position.  Shipboard employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

Qualifications

 

Hiring Requirements:

 

Minimum of 3 years television broadcast or television production experience required. Bachelors or Associates degree in broadcasting, technical field preferred. Ability to edit on both linear and non-linear production systems in multiple formats such as Beta SP, Beta SX, SVHS, MPEG, etc required. Knowledge of broadcast, video productions and technical television operation production.  This includes producing, directing, shooting and editing of feature length, short formats, commercial and documentary style programming. Knowledge of basic computer operations in the areas of live TV directing, call and switch live multiple camera programs, TV programming, scheduling and traffic. Knowledge of satellite uplink and downlink procedures, as well as signal tracking while at sea preferred. Ability to operate Macintosh and Windows computer platforms and familiar with  AVID required and a variety of Adobe products such a PhotoShop, After Affects, Illustrator, Premier preferred. All shipboard employees must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including the participation in life-saving procedures and drills Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly All international applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D1 visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable
